Evaluation

The applications are evaluated by the Research Commission of the University of Bern. Every application which meets the requirements of the regulations and has been submitted in due time and form will be reviewed by at least two members of the Commission. The decision on
a grant is made by the entire Commission. The Commission may also ask the doctoral candidate
to give a short presentation.

Notification of the acceptance or rejection of an application is made by the Research Commission Administrative Office. There is no entitlement to funding within the scheme UniBE Doc.Mobility. Any rejection is briefly described in writing.

The evaluation procedure takes two to three months. The stay abroad may not be started until a positive decision is received.
