Leave of absence can only be applied for via self-service as part of the semester registration. It is not possible to extend the deadlines.

Doctoral students
The university does not envisage doctoral students taking a leave of absence. You can, however, have yourself exempted from the mandatory entry in the student registry providing you do not make use of either material or staff services from the University of Bern.
