Registration, conditions of participation, and course costs

Who can participate? Students and employees of the UniBE can register for the language courses. Moreover, enrollment is also possible for students and employees of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (Berner Fachhochschule, BFH) and students of the Bern University of Teacher Education (Pädagogische Hochschule Bern, PH). Students have priority in the allocation of course places. There are two conditions for course participation: 1) Regular attendance is required (excessive absences may result in inability to complete the course). Please notify your teacher in advance if you are unable to attend a session. 2) Sufficient time must be allocated for self-study activities. The courses have a fast pace and to keep up, you must complete exercises and tasks outside of class time. To be eligible for the next course in the following semester, you must fulfill all the course requirements.
