TANDEM

A language tandem is a learning partnership between two people who would like to improve their language skills in each other’s native language. They communicate taking turns as both learners and teachers. Thus, they also discover each other’s cultures. The tandem partners commit to a specific duration, with a recommended timeframe of 6 months to achieve satisfactory results. In addition, the language partners establish learning goals, discuss their preferred meeting format (face-to-face or online), determine the frequency of meetings, and may decide on the location.
