Application and admission with an international degree
To be admitted to a master's degree program, you must have an international university degree from a recognized university in an academic degree program that lasted at least three years. Trainings and further training qualifications (Executive Master, certificates, diplomas) are not recognized.
Language requirements
You do not have to show any qualification proving your German language skills to be admitted to a master's degree program. Some master's degree programs are taught in English; the others are mostly taught in German. You will find details of the particular teaching language in the information on the individual study programs. If you want to study in Bern, you yourself are responsible for judging whether you have sufficient command of the language concerned.
The plan of studies of the individual master's degree programs may contain additional language requirements. The checklist for your particular chosen subject provides information on whether and in what form you have to provide evidence of additional language qualifications to be admitted to your chosen master's degree program.
Apply online before the specified date and submit the documents required for assessing your admission in paper form.
Special admission requirements for medical degree programs
The number of places in Medicine, Dental Medicine and Veterinary Medicine is limited. This is why you have to apply for these three branches of study earlier than for other courses.
