Excellent research is possible in an academic culture characterised by appreciation, fairness and equal opportunities. Inclusive leadership and team culture providing psychological safety are the foundations for successful research.
The keynote lecture by gender expert Prof. Dr. Liisa Husu, Örebro University, focusses on the dynamics of research careers, discussing especially the role of non-events, but also the role of different gatekeepers and gatekeeping in academia.
Dr. Andrea Zimmermann and Dr. Sebastian Berger will join Prof. Dr. Liisa Husu on a panel to discuss how equitable scientific collaboration can be achieved.

Prof. Dr. Liisa Husu, Örebro University, focuses her research on gender in academia, gender dynamics and inequalities in scientific careers.
Dr. Andrea Zimmermann, Senior Researcher, Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies, University of Bern. Her research focus is on gender in the cultural sector and in universities.
Dr. Sebastian Berger, Research assistant at the Institute of Organisation and Human Resources and the Institute of Sociology, University of Bern. His research aims to identify the key factors shaping individual and collective decisions in the realm of sustainability.
