Price adjustments for catering services at the University of Bern and the Pädagogische Hochschule Bern as of 1.1.2025
The “Genossenschaft ZFV-Unternehmungen (ZFV)” ensures a varied offer in the canteens and cafeterias at the University of Bern and the Pädagogische Hochschule Bern. ZFV focuses on sustainable, climate-friendly and balanced catering.
Due to the ongoing increases in the prices of raw materials and goods, rising general costs, and the increase in VAT rates, the “Stiftung Mensabetriebe der Unibersität Bern” has decided together with ZFV to adjust the menu prices for the meals offered as of January 1, 2025, after a period of four years.
The price increase was discussed and approved by the “Stiftung Mensabetriebe der Universität Bern”. The Board of Trustees consists of representatives of Students‘ Union of the University of Bern (SUB), the Intermediate Staff Association (MVUB), the Senate, the Executive Board of the University of Bern, the Pädagogische Hochschule Bern.
The prices of the menu lines have been adjusted in different ways with the aim of inspiring guests to choose climate-friendly food.
