Replacement of KTools, the account management tool of the University of Bern
On July 16, 2024 KTools, the account management tool of the University of Bern will be replaced by a new solution.
This affects the following functions:
- Campus Account activation
- Password change, if you know the current one
- Password reset, if you forgot the old one
- Linking Campus Account with your Switch edu-ID

Password Requirements
Please note the following password requirements:
- Has a minimal length of 12 characters
- Contains characters from three of the following categories:
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Digits (0-9)
- Punctuation and other special characters ('-!"#$%&()*,./:;?@[]^_`{|}~+<=>)
- Does not contain characters from other categories such as accented letters (öéäàüèñ etc.)
- Does not contain well-known words
- Was not already used in the past
- Was not already changed on the same day
