Funding offers at the University of Bern

The following funding opportunities of the University of Bern can be used for collaborations with ENLIGHT partners. Please note that these funds are only available to members of the University of Bern.

With FLE (Faculty Teaching Development), the Vice-Rectorate Teaching supports the faculties in further developing their teaching in line with Strategy 2030. The funding program provides resources to design, implement and disseminate faculty-wide teaching projects.

The University of Bern supports designing and implementing interdisciplinary, cross-faculty courses (as part of the Strategy 2030). Increased interfaculty cooperation is intended to promote the development of courses that inspire students' interest in interdisciplinary approaches and serve as a stimulus for innovative research.

Since 2020, students at the University of Bern have been trained as eCoaches for digital skills in teaching with the aim to establish a multiplier system to support and promote innovative teaching with digital technology.

The aim is to offer English-speaking exchange students a wider choice of courses by offering courses in English. For those students who can’t travel abroad, it is also a contribution to "internationalization at home".

Through virtual exchanges, lecturers can develop courses and design events together with international partners, test innovative technologies and develop long-term collaborations. Students who are unable to complete an exchange semester are given an "internationalization at home" experience and the opportunity to acquire intercultural skills.

The seed funding from the Grants Office enables researchers to finance workshops, salaries, editing, etc. in preparation for European collaborative projects.
