Preview of the next uniFOKUS, March 2025: World of labor in transition

To improve its work-life balance, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will allow its employees to work a four-day week from April 2025. On the other side of the Pacific, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is planning to use efficiency analyses to weed out “underperforming employees”. The world of labor is changing.

Flexibility, digitalization and new values are shaping the way we deal with work. The traditional full-time job is becoming less important and more flexible models are spreading. AI and automation are replacing many previous jobs and new skills are in demand.
